「時代力量」建黨工程隊代理總隊長黃國昌27日正式宣佈參選新北汐止立委，挑戰七連霸立委李慶華。李慶華表示，他希望與黃國昌來一場君子之爭，而不是口水戰、抹黑戰。李慶華也酸黃國昌「真是一個厲害角色」，可以不經民調就讓民進黨拋棄沈發惠。
李慶華表示，歡迎黃國昌的參選，他殷切希望與黃國昌的選戰，絕對不是口水戰，也不是抹黑戰，而是一場君子之爭，是一場高格調的選戰，他相信這也是選民的期盼。
談到對手黃國昌，李慶華說，黃國昌真是一個厲害角色，可以不經過民調，就能讓民進黨拋棄自己的黨內同志，讓沈發惠出局，還獲得民進黨的全力支持，真是不簡單，他絕對不能掉以輕心。
李慶華說，他是連任七屆的資深立委，在選區耕耘多年，他跟選民一起打拼，建立深厚情感，他信任選民，選民也信任他，他相信選民的眼睛是雪亮的，會做出智慧的判斷。
